Mouth-Watering Chili & A Special Brew

Old Ox AVFRDSaturday Just Doesn’t Get Any Better!

January 23 from noon to 4:00 p.m.

(Weather Alert: Check HERE for any inclement weather postponement information.)

Come on out and support the Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department and enjoy chili from talented local chefs. The AVFRD Chilly Days Chili Fundraiser is supported by the donations of 10 Ashburn food establishments. Make a donation and enjoy all of the chili you can eat (all proceeds go to AVFRD). Pair up one of the fine chili’s listed below with Old Ox War Wagon Red, brewed just for this Chili Fundraiser.

1757 will be showing off a white bean chicken chili that features fire-roasted chicken simmered with pepper, onions, green chilies and white beans in a spicy achiote pepper broth.

Buffalo Wing Factory’s chili concoction is made with Oxtail (brisket), the Old Ox War Wagon Red,  and more than five varieties of peppers.

DC Prime is making an “old school” chili with chunks of beef that will be simmered for several hours in a house made chile purée and spice blend. The chili has the perfect balance of sweetness and heat.

Ford’s Fish Shack features a two bean clam and chorizo chili with pesto.

Taque is simmering up a chili derived from the owner’s Polish grandmother’s 85-year-old recipe.   This recipe uniquely combines tangy and spicy flavors with lean ground beef.

The Wandering Chef is bringing a black bean and smoked vegetable (vegetarian) and chicken and white bean chili with chicken sausage.

And more chili from The Zone, Alamo, The Wandering Chef, Urban BBQ, and Bar Louie!
