Travel to Norway with us on the latest SightSeer journey and savor the citrusy goodness of our Kveik IPA. Kveik (kuh-vike), the Norwegian word for yeast, has a storied past.
This ancient yeast strain was cultivated by farmers and passed along to family and neighbors for generations. Its hardiness makes Kveik unique among yeast strains. It’s easy to dry and reuse and ferments quickly at a wide range of temperatures. Unlike most yeast, which ferments at around 70 degrees, Kveik yeast ferments at temperatures as high as 110 degrees.
The orange and tropical fruitiness of the Voss Kveik yeast used in our Kveik IPA complements the sweet orange peel, melon, and green mango notes of the Galaxy, Cashmere, and Citra hops. Available in both Ashburn & Middleburg Tasting Rooms. Skål!
