We’re tapping talented local musicians for a Mini Music Fest. Enjoy three acts performing songs on the Old Ox stage…singing along and dancing allowed! Enjoy an amazing beer, select wine, or ready-to-drink cocktails from the Old Ox craft beverage menu. Order some food from the Old Ox Scratch Kitchen. Come on out and support local musicians.
December 7th Lineup (hosted by Jess Kenn Music):
Act I 6-7PM: Fred Coleman – Born in Philly, raised all over the world, Fred is a singer/songwriter at the beginning of a journey, blurring the lines between genres and having fun doing it.
Act II 7-8PM: Crossing Elden is a local songwriting duo from Herndon, VA, featuring guitar, baritone ukulele, and enjoyable vocal harmonies. Their original songs are influenced by their combined eclectic tastes from more than 7 decades of rock, pop, folk, and country-ish music: Mike once worked as a DJ for a college radio station. Lisa grew up steeped in the traditional harmonies of Methodist church music. The recipe seems to work! Please check out their songs at CrossingElden.bandcamp.com. They also play fun acoustic covers of songs you know, but are off the beaten track.
Act III 8-9PM: Some People Call me Maurice (SPCMM) came together to provide roots-rock music largely forgotten by other bands. SPCMM plays a mix of popular rock cover songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Beautiful vocal harmonies, a superb acoustic sound, and a knack for playing the right song at the right time really set this band apart from the rest. Fans of Classic/Rock, Americana & Roots music will enjoy a fun-filled evening of great acoustic music! SPCMM consists of Robert Torres (Bass/Vocals), Steve Schmitt (Guitar/Vocals), Chris Bean (Drums/Vocals), and Roger Noel (Vocals/Keys).
