Baby, it’s cold outside and we have just the thing to warm you up! Join us for the Sixth Annual Chilly Days Chili Fundraiser at Old Ox Brewery on Saturday, January 18* from Noon to 4:00 p.m.** in support of the Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department. Enjoy unlimited tastings of chili graciously provided by Ashburn restaurants for a donation–all proceeds will be donated to the AVFRD. Bring the kids to see the fire truck!

We will also be releasing our War Wagon Amber Lager that day and $1 of each pint sold will be donated to the AVFRD. Support your local firefighters!

Two trophies will be awarded this year–
Judge’s Choice: Celebrity judges include Lauryn Ricketts, Meteorologist, NBC4; Adam Tuss, Transportation Reporter, NBC4; and Ashburn Volunteer Fire Rescue Department – AVFRD Fire Chief Miguel Quijano.

Ashburn has two stations: Station 6 in Ashburn & Station 22 in Landsdowne. Only 56% of the AVFRD operating budget is supported by state and county funding… AVFRD must raise the rest. It costs at least $12,000 to safely outfit a firefighter and costs about $225 to fill up a fire truck’s gas tank.
