Jeff Long collaborated with Old Ox’s Chris Burns to produce a beer that would best fit into GABF category 19, American Brett Ale. The beer itself is a mash up of a classic light frame Belgian malt bill, a blend of Belgian yeast and Brettanomyces Anomolus, which was hop bursted with American hops. The higher carbonation highlights the softer brett notes found in BrettA, and forces the tropical hop flavors forward. The goal of this beer is not replication but to highlight the creativity that is the hallmark of the American Craft and Home Brewing scenes.
