One-Off Wednesday: Noah’s Barleywine

Come on in this Wednesday, March 4 and warm up with our limited edition barleywine–a recipe from our brewer, Noah’s, home brewing days. A former Marine, Noah decided to brew a big beer that would age well while he was stationed in Afghanistan. He let it age in the fermenter for four months while he was overseas and then bottled it for an additional year before consuming. Lively, fruity and bittersweet, Noah’s Barleywine gets it’s residual sweetness from Crystal 60 and Special B malts and its finishing hops are Saaz and Mt. Hood (60 IBU). This boozy brew (10.3% ABV) will warm you up during these last throes of winter.

Old Ox Brewery is open Wednesdays from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. What’s special about Wednesdays?
Mystery Glass Extracted (4)Each Wednesday, we will feature a new beer. Here’s an idea what’s brewing; Nitro Red Ale, Nitro Scotch ale, Coconut Vanilla Porter, Mexican Hot Chocolate and collaboration beers brewed with home brewers from the community.
