Research scientist Christopher Obara from Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus looks at how the next generation of microscopes are helping scientists learn how living systems behave in more complex and unpredictable ways.
We are beginning to answer questions like how we heal from injuries, reproduce and make conscious decisions to do things we enjoy. It turns out that even chemicals and macromolecules are far more “clever” than we had ever imagined.
