Baby, it’s cold outside and we have just the thing to warm you up! Join us for the Fifth Annual Chilly Days Chili Fundraiser at Old Ox Brewery on Saturday, January 26* from Noon to 4:00 p.m.** in support of the Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department. Enjoy unlimited tastings of chili graciously provided by Ashburn restaurants- all proceeds will be donated to the AVFRD. Bring the kids to see the fire truck!

We will also be releasing our War Wagon Kolsch that day so come out to support your local firefighters!

Two trophies will be awarded this year–
Judge’s Choice: Celebrity judges include Jessob Reisbeck – ABC7, news anchor, Good Morning Washington, Ashburn Volunteer Fire Rescue Department – AVFRD Fire Chief Miguel Quijano, and Fred Smoot, former Washington Redskins cornerback.

Ashburn has two stations: Station 6 in Ashburn & Station 22 in Landsdowne. Only 56% of the AVFRD operating budget is supported by the state and county funding… AVFRD must raise the rest. It costs as least $12,000 to safely outfit a firefighter and costs about $225 to fill up a fire truck’s gas tank.
