Participating Restaurants:

12 restaurants will vie for bragging rights for Ashburn’s favorite chili! Participating restaurants include:

  • AVFRD: This white chili doesn’t have time for all that red bean nonsense. Loaded with tender pulled chicken, the subtle heat adds a little zing. It’s rich, it’s bold, and honestly, it’s probably judging your usual dinner choices.
  • Carolina Brothers Pit Barbecue: Brisket Chili
  • DC Prime: Jamaican Jerk Chicken Chili with plantain crisps.
  • Fleur de Cuisine
  • Ford’s Fish Shack: Tenderloin and Chorizo Chili with Black and White Beans and finished with a Black Ox Porter.
  • Fountain Grill: Our chili features ground beef and kidney beans with homemade tomato paste, cumin and cherry wine. Smoked harissa gives it a bit of a kick! Topped with diced red onions and shredded cheese.
  • Magnolias at the Mill: Springhouse Local Grind Chili – Locksley Cheddar, Scallions & Crema
  • Old Ox Brewery: Rio Grande Chili celebrates the chile pepper and the cattle ranch history of South Texas. This dish uses Angus beef and authentic Mexican Chorizo. The fresh and dried chiles with the Mexican spice blend are crafted to enhance the beef and tomato combination.
  • Rescue BBQ: ResQ White Chicken Chili with smoked diced chicken, cannellini beans, sweet corn, diced onion, diced white potato, garlic and other spices.  This version of chili has a slight kick from our smoked chicken thighs, and the spice mixture of cayenne pepper, cumin, black pepper & smoked paprika. Spice Level 2 out of 5.
  • Rubino’s Sports Pub & Grill: Homemade Pub Chili
  • Texas Roadhouse: Made from scratch Texas Style Chili with pieces of our filet and rib eye that we hand cut daily.
  • XCAL

Ashburn has two stations: Station 6 in Ashburn & Station 22 in Landsdowne. Only 56% of the AVFRD operating budget is supported by state and county funding….AVFRD must raise the rest. It costs more than $12,000 to safely outfit a firefighter. Click here for more information—>WAR WAGON!
