DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, April 13 for the release of 15 Shades of Grisette. This special collaboration beer was brewed on International Women’s Day at Solace Brewing Company by the members of the Pink Boots Society – DC Chapter. \nPink Boots Society is a group founded to enhance and advance the careers of women in the beer industry. This world-wide collaboration day began with a desire by Pink Boots members to take part in International Women’s Day in order to bring attention to the contributions of women in the beer industry. \nIndividual chapters got together to brew a beer and proceeds are donated back to Pink Boots. Collaboration brews occurred in 46 states and in 10 countries with over 240 registered brew teams. Money raised will go to fund Pink Boots Society and all of the scholarships that it offers. \nThe beer will be released at Old Ox on Friday evening and then available at the participating brewery locations and select retailers throughout Northern Virginia and DC starting Saturday\, April 14. \nParticipating breweries include: Red Dragon Brewery\, Black Hoof Brewing Company\, Lost Rhino Brewing Co.\, Old Ox Brewery\, Lake Anne Brew House\, Solace Brewing Company\, Ocelot Brewing Company\, Seven Arrows Brewing Company\, Beltway Brewing Company\, New District Brewing Company\, Dirt Farm Brewing\, Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery\, 3 Stars Brewing Company\, Bike TrAle Brewing and DC Brau Brewing Company \nA special thanks to our sponsors who generously donated supplies for this collaboration project. The grain bill was donated by Country Malt Group and yeast was donated by Jasper Yeast. The amazing Fractured Prune Doughnuts Leesburg is supplying the delicious pastry goodies for this years event! \nTeams of 4 people come together to eat and run. Each team must consume a dozen donuts between them. Each team must eat a total of 12 donuts and each member must eat at least one of those donuts. Other than that\, the team can divvy up the eating duties as they see fit. All is fair in run and donut. \nEach person eats their share of donuts\, runs two miles and heads back to the Donut Eating Exchange Zone. As soon as you hit the exchange zone – your next teammate can start slamming donuts. \nEach participant will get a beer\, a rally towel to cheer their team on and wipe those donuts crumbs off their face\, and of course\, Fractured Prune Doughnuts! \nTwo food trucks will be on site: Killer Tomato (12:30-9pm) Parallel Food Truck (12-5pm). As the relay finishes the party continues – we’ll have a band play from 1-4pm and an outdoor bar. Saucony will be on hand displaying their latest shoes and we’ll have the entire lot behind Old Ox Brewery to relax\, drink beers and digest donuts. \nAwards from Potomac River Running Store\, Saucony\, Old Ox and Fractured Prune for:\n– Fastest All-Female team\n– Fastest All-Male team\n– Fastest Co-Ed (at least 1 female) team\n– Best Costume\n– Most Spirit \nWe will start this event in waves with the teams expected to take longer starting earlier. We will start the first wave at 11:00 am and expect every team to be finished by 1:00 pm. Awards will be around 1:30 pm. Register to race here. \n\n
