Old Ox will feature our first anniversary celebration beer: Year of the Ox Imperial IPA. Hops are the star of this brew—Huell Melon, Mandarina and Citra give it citrus tones. With an ABV of 8.7% and 77 IBUs this beer is big and bold…just like our plans for Year 2!
Bourbon Barrel Black Ox went in the barrel a year ago in anticipation of our first anniversary. Our popular robust rye porter with hints of coffee and chocolate … and now aged in a bourbon barrel for a full year! We can’t wait to share this one … but if you miss the BLOX Party, you may miss the BB Black Ox—supplies are limited.
Sneak Preview: Sample Bierre de Garden Saison brewed in collaboration with Whole Foods for the grand opening of their Ashburn store on July 29. Raspberries and basil make this a delightful summer sipper. Available only during the BLOX Party until Whole Foods Ashburn opens!
Waddles Away, an American Brett Ale, was named in honor of a recent visitor to the Old Ox Tasting Room (see our Facebook page for the Adventures of Mr. Waddles).
Some like it sour! Old Ox’s first American Sour Ale will be introduced at the BLOX Party. Aged for eight months in red wine barrels from a Virginia winery, this complex beer is tangy on the tongue and finishes with a touch of malty sweetness.
Also on tap are our Alpha Ox session IPA, Golden Ox Belgian golden, and our award winning Black Ox rye porter and Saison d’Ox.
